NSW HYDRO PROTECTION UPGRADE
ELECTRICAL DESIGN (PROTECTION)
Our engineering services were enlisted by a reputable construction company to deliver a protection design package for a hydro power station located in Central NSW.
Prospect’s scope included, completion of protection setting report (including modern generator protection functions) and development of specifications for new protection devices, current transformers and neutral earthing resistor.

PHES FEASIBILITY STUDY
RENEWABLE DEVELOPMENT
Prospect’s engineering services were engaged by a local energy business to assist with the early stage development and concept design of a community scale pumped hydro energy storage system. The scheme consists of two oversized farm dams, with an equivalent energy storage capacity of 40MWh.
Our experience across hydro power generation, construction and engineering provided valuable input in demonstrating the feasibility of the proposed scheme.

VIC HYDRO STATION UPGRADE
ELECTRICAL DESIGN (PROTECTION)
Prospect were engaged by a local electrical design & construction business to assist with the protection design for the proposed upgrade works at a hydro power station in North East Victoria.
Our scope included review of existing protection schemes, completion of new protection settings in accordance with the latest NER requirements and development of specifications for new current transformers.

MURRA WARRA 2 WIND FARM
TESTING & COMMISSIONING
Prospect’s engineering and commissioning services were enlisted by Balance of Plant contractor on the 209MW Murra Warra Stage 2 Wind Farm.
Prospect successfully completed testing and commissioning of the 33kV switchboard and associated protection and control systems. These works comprised of primary injection testing of CT’s & VT’s, secondary protection, logic testing and interface points testing to local SCADA HMI, AEMO and Ausnet TOC.

DUNDONNELL WIND FARM
TESTING & COMMISSIONING
Prospect Engineering’s site commissioning services were engaged by a leading Wind Farm EPC, to execute the testing and commissioning of 4x12MVAr Harmonic Filter Banks at Dundonnell Wind Farm in Western Victoria.
Our scope entailed a full suite of commissioning tests for the new protection system and updating and re-testing of in service protection relays. Additionally, we performed primary plant testing of newly installed Current Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Reactors and Capacitors.
The site presented Prospect with some challenges, including the implementation of additional IEC61850 Circuit Breaker Failure (CBF) logic to the in service protection scheme.

MOORABOOL WIND FARM
ENGINGEERING SUPPORT & TESTING
Our engineering services were engaged by a leading EPC to provide site engineering support services for the energisation of substations at Moorabool North Wind Farm & Moorabool South Wind Farm.
Our expertise played a key role in the successful and timely energisation of both Wind Farm substations. We captured transformer energisation waveforms and confirmed stable operation.
Prospect was further engaged to complete protection setting updates and secondary inject associated protection IED’s.
